Wow, Where do we begin. Well... Adam and I have had a rough begining and a rough road, but I think things are looking up and finally we are getting the hang of having a Family to call our own and to enjoy.
Aven is now 20 months old, and growing. He likes to be independent and try things out for himself. He loves the computer and we can bearly use it when he is around because he wants to watch "su-why" (A pbs show called super why which I have on my itunes). He likes to pick out his clothes and try feeding himself with the utensils (but doesn't always succeed) and he loves to play outside and help Adam take Maddi for walks. He enjoys his little sister for the most part and just wants to help feed her or put her paci in her mouth for her. All in all he is has been a good big brother and loves being grown up.
Ava is now two months old and is growing fast! We finally have her to the point that she isn't overly fussy from her reflux, but she does always have to be propped up so that she doesn't throw up and gag. She looks at us and smiles and laughs and coo's alot when she is awake and not hungry or gassy. She is starting to show more of her personality, which is totally different from Aven. She is a lot more sensitive to things then Aven was; you can really tell she is going to be a girly girl.
We went to Oceanside last weekend for our first family vacation together. It was so beautiful and not too hot and the beach was so nice. Unfortunately, Aven didn't like the sand or the ocean water coming up on his feet, and we didn't get to swim in the ocean. Heidi (my cousin) and her three kids came with us as well, which was great because Aven loves playing with her kids.
The Car ride there was the longest, but then the car ride home was nice and fast because we left around 8pm so the kids would all sleep.
I went back to work a few weeks ago, I am really enjoying the adult interaction but miss the kids a lot when Im gone. I am going to be taking some classes at countrywide to try and further my career at work and possibly be an On the Job trainer and eventually a supervisor or management. I sit all by myself in a corner right in front of the Manager of my division I'm in and she gives me tips and pointers and we talk alot about my career and how to further it. She is really a great mentor.
